The quarrying process begins with blasting a rock face, but there are several stages we must go through before even reaching this point. Procedures such as land surveys and Council work permits etc. must be carried out (which are accredited through a third party) to allow us to begin the blasting process.

Factory Processes
at SunDiamondBridge Quarrys
|

Blasting
Firstly, a blast site is selected in the quarry and an area is drilled to create multiple bore holes, these are then filled with explosive material. SunDiamondBridge Quarry uses state-of-the-art explosives and blasting technology to initiate the first step in producing crushed stone with an approach, which focuses highly on safety, the environment and efficiency.
|

Excavation and Hauling
The blast fragments the rock into sizes small enough to be loaded and hauled to our primary crusher.
Stockpiling
After final processing the aggregates are conveyed to numerous stockpiles. SunDiamondBridge can process up to 10 sizes simultaneously.
|

Loading and Weighing
Road lorries are then loaded with the finished products by wheeled loading shovels, who then proceed to the weighbridge office for weighing and issue of a delivery note.
|

Onward Transportation
The lorry is then ready to deliver its load of material to the customer. This could be to a construction site, or a manufacturing process such as concrete or asphalt plants, or to a domestic household. It may also be the first leg of a journey that could see the product transferred onto a train or a boat, then distributed around the world.
